The Director of Facilities Planning & Construction is responsible for all facilities planning, space management, maintenance, renovation and construction activities for the organization. Serves as an advisor to senior leadership and as an advocate for facility needs for existing and new departments and programs.   This position reports to the Chief Executive Officer.

*Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Construction Science or Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering.

*10 yrs experience in the construction management and maintenance of electrical, electronic and mechanical systems.  5 yrs experience at a director level.

*Excellent interpersonal skills.  Ability to read blue print and schematic diagrams.  Ability to use Auto-CAD system.  Knowledge of OSHA, JCAHO, UBC, NFPA and other regulatory agency requirements.  Knowledge of electrical power, mechanical  systems, HVAC and medical gas systems.  Knowledge of construction practices and methods specific to healthcare environments.
