Director Medical/Surgical

Schedule: Full - Time Regular

The incumbent must be a seasoned manager who is well organized, self-directed and capable of a broad range of managerial tasks.  Daily activities will include planning, organizing and implementing strategies, as well as effective delegation and mentoring in a participative environment.  The incumbent must be approachable and give useful feedback to staff regarding their job performance.  As the organization continues to change, difficult decisions will need to be made, requiring a high degree of judgment, tact, and the ability to lead by example.  Upholds the responsibility and authority for directing the management operations and clinical practice for the Medical Floor and Surgical Floors.  The incumbent will establish formal collaborative relationships with Physicians and ancillary groups in order to achieve the highest level of clinical care provision. Attendance at medical service line meetings is expected.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as an RN in the State of Idaho.  Master’s degree is required. 
  • Current BLS certification required, ACLS certification recommended. 
  • Three years of nursing experience preferably in a medical/surgical, oncology, and/or house supervisor setting.  In addition, at least two years of management experience is required.

Minimum Qualifications:
