We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as the Manager of Managed Care .

The Manager of Managed Care will be based out of our corporate office in Nashville, TN and will report to the Vice President, Managed Care. This manager will be responsible for physician contract management across the company wherein primary duties encompass identification, monitoring, and management of revenue opportunities associated with aligned physicians. Additionally, this individual will support managed care contracting activities essential to completion and deployment of payer agreements.

Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Accounting or Finance Degree preferred

Work Experience

  • Knowledge in the area of financial analysis and managed care terms.
  • 3-5 years of managed care experience is prefered
  • Capability to understand and employ complex concepts
  • Program leadership experience is prefered


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Consolidate and manage physician contract rates across company to ascertain appropriate rate targets
  • Gather physician based incentive contracts and organize into a manageable database of recommended terms, conditions, and budgets
  • Disseminate contracts to the field based on the effective date of the contract
  • Maintain contact with field representatives in charge of facility managed care contracts
  • Maintain knowledge of healthcare and managed care regulatory/legislative and industry matters
  • Review performance of prior executed contracts and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Perform estimate of financial impact for newly proposed contract terms
  • Prepare annual budget for the department that forecast increases that are expected
  • Assist in preparation and maintenance of managed care reports
  • Develop and maintain adjustable Volume & Rate Sensitivity Analyses
  • Attend bi-weekly operating meetings and present results
