Demonstrates excellent customer service skills by providing a patient friendly and pleasant admitting process to assure that patient and family needs are met in a timely manner.  Responsible for accurate registration of patient, participating in on-call rotation as assigned, communication of Health Center policies, financial responsibilities, and Patient Rights and Responsibilities according to departmental operating procedures.  Ensures compliance with Joint Commission and EMTALA regulations and other regulatory agencies.  Works under the supervision of the Patient Access Supervisor.


*High School Diploma/GED

*One year experience in office setting and customer service

*Must type 40 wpm; proficient computer skills.  Excellent customer service skills, both written and verbal; interpersonal skills necessary to interact with patients and their families, physician offices, nursing personnel and co-workers.
