Registered Nurse (RN) - Behavioral Health

This position is accountable for the provision of safe, efficient, and therapeutically effective care to the patients of the Behavioral Health Unit. Utilizing the nursing process, care is delivered in compliance with hospital policies and procedures, legal, and regulatory standards. As an active member of the interdisciplinary team, provides support for the patient's therapeutic treatment plan and delegates and coordinates the nursing care provided for the patients on the Behavioral Health Unit. Utilizes behavioral modification and management techniques to anticipate and diffuse situations that might otherwise lead to out of control behavior. Responsible to ensure proper legal documentation accompanies all patients on a Police Custody, Mental Hold, and Administrative Hold in accordance to Idaho law.

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Idaho. Current BLS. Must be able to manage stress appropriately, make decisions under pressure, manage anger/fear/hostility/violence of others appropriately, handle multiple priorities, and the ability to work alone.
