As a member of the senior management team, the COO will actively participate in strategic, operational, and financial decision-making. The COO will work closely with the CEO in all aspects of hospital management, site coordination, and organizational integration activities to ensure achievement of adopted goals and strategies. The COO will have an active role in establishing systems and organizational structure to support the overall vision and strategic direction of the organization as well as assessing and identifying operational strategies, performance metrics, and financial opportunities to execute on behalf Lovelace Medical Center and the Heart Hospital of New Mexico. 

In addition, the COO will:

  • Work in close partnership with the CEO, and other senior management colleagues to set, achieve and exceed the operational goals of the hospital.
  • Interact with Board of Directors, Medical Staff and other constituents at all times in a collaborative and highly professional manner.
  • Serve as Adminstrator over the Heart Hospital of New Mexico.

Education: Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration or Business Administration.

Experience: 7 to 10 years of experience, ideally gained in the operational management of or consultation to for-profit healthcare related organizations.
