We have an exciting opportunity to join our Information Technology team as a Senior Systems Engineer - Epic Web and Service Server Administrator.


The Senior Systems Engineer - Epic Web and Service Server Administrator is a critical, hands-on role that involves the installation and administration of the Epic web and service server software.  The administrator performs configuration, deployment, proactive monitoring and maintenance.  This role will partner with the Infrastructure, Platform and Desktop teams to optimize Epic server installation and performance.  They are in charge of installing and managing the application deployment platforms that serve production, reporting, disaster recovery, training, and non-production needs; managing system mail configuration, print queues, performing file system maintenance, installing monitoring tools, understanding performance metrics, monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues. Other skills necessary for this role include incident\request management and the production of management and exception reports.



  • Position requires at least 3 years of direct experience and a high school diploma or equivalent OR an Associate's Degree in IS and at least 2 years of direct experience.  
  • BA/BS degree in IS or Business is preferred.  

Key competencies:

  • Expertise in the Microsoft Windows server administration
  • Expertise in VMware ESXi
  • Experience with load balancing solutions such as Citrix NetScalar
  • Experience with storage arrays such as EMC Isilon
  • Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) administration
  • Network protocols and functionality

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification:  

  • Epic Client Systems Administrator (ECSA) preferred
  • If not currently Epic certified, must take and pass the Epic pre-test.
  • Certification is required within 6 months from employment, including 2 test retakes.
