We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Epic Application Analyst with a focus on the Epic Clinical Documentation application.

The overall responsibility of the Epic Application Analyst is to provide subject matter expertise in the functional support, design, instruction, oversight and guidance of the Epic Clinical Documentation application. This position will manage, build, test, and support applications as assigned and related maintenance to enable the achievement of success in the business operation at the Division level and applicable facilities. These responsibilities include but are not limited to: developing system strategies with management and other stakeholders, identifying and mitigating project risks, supporting the physicians and clinical users and assisting in the maintenance of all processes in the areas pertinent to the assigned application’s scope.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities :

Analysis and Solution Definition

  • Quickly understands the business issues and data challenges of the organization and industry.

  • Assists in development of system documentation, user manuals and training classes for application suite.
  • Engaged with testing efforts and ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner.

  • Evaluates current state processes and identifies gaps to future state process around utilization of applications to maximize departmental and organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Communicates and applies project standards.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, or equivalent business experience in a clinical care or healthcare delivery environment.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in clinical care or healthcare delivery environment managing and supporting similar clinical systems implementation, support and project management.  Proficiency in the processes of clinical workflow within the facilities.  Prefer:  EPIC certified Clin Doc builder with EHR integration experience.
  • Proven ability to understand business and clinical issues and objectives as well as the ability to translate them into application solutions.
  • Established experience with large scale/large projects with team of 5 or more members
  • Experience developing the following items with Project Management: (1) Standard work breakdown structure; (2) Resources and critical path; (3) Project scope; (4) Issues identification and oversight; (5) Change control processes; and (6) Stakeholder communications
  • Strong understanding in the areas of application technology, architecture, database and system design.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience designing and supporting EPIC Clinical Documentation.
  • Experience with workflow and operations within a hospital.
