We are continuing to grow and have an exciting opportunity to join our Health Information Management team as a Manager, Forms Management.

The Manager, Forms Management proactively researches and recommends strategic business solutions in the forms management profession, and ensures that high levels of standards are in place and maintained. In addition to investigating solutions, the Manager develops business cases and training plans. A proactive approach is taken in acquiring and sharing leading edge industry knowledge with the forms management team and business partners throughout the organization. The Manager is responsible for day-to-day support of the forms team in the analysis, design and development of form solutions.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Ensures smooth operation of the department and provides input into the business plan.
  • Controls and monitors the flow of work, assists with projects/tasks assigned to Forms Team members, prioritizes work to meet timelines and business needs.
  • Acts as Forms Team vendor relationship manager with preferred form and envelope vendors with a focus on continuous improvement and escalation/resolution of issues and identification of root cause.
  • Proactively investigates and supports strategic and technology based forms solutions.
  • Advises on appropriate forms medium or vehicle. 
  • Advises on the impact the initiatives will have on existing forms.
  • Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of current and future directions of methodologies and technologies through research, vendor contact and product evaluations.
  • Builds and maintains strong working relationships with Business partners and the vendor community.
  • Ensures standards are in place and reviewed/maintained on an ongoing basis.
  • Assesses and recommends equipment for special requirements and on-going needs.
  • Conducts meetings/presentations as required.
  • Participates in the development of appropriate performance measures that reflect the goals of the organization and the individual, performs ongoing performance appraisal and completes performance measurement reports for the Forms Team members.
  • Actively promotes and participates in teamwork. Inspires confidence in team leadership. 
  • Assists with unit measurement activities.
  • Provides Director with regular updates of activities as well as ad hoc reports, as required.
  • Makes recommendations on the strategic direction of the Forms Team in terms of technology, focus, and services offered.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Proficient analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills with the ability to interpret client needs and recommend functional and cost effective solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • The role requires a broad knowledge of the healthcare industry, healthcare technologies and information governance content
  • Ability to travel 30% to 50% of the time to consulting engagements, meetings, and to lead and conduct trainings
  • Ability to work remotely


Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management or healthcare related field
  • RHIA or RHIT Credentialed
  • Experience may override education


  • Extensive knowledge of forms management principles, methodologies.
  • Advanced working knowledge of form design, layout techniques and graphic concepts (fonts, logos, etc.).
  • Advanced working knowledge of preprinted forms, printing specifications and manufacturing methods.
  • Working knowledge of new initiatives/products in the external market to recognize trends and assess benefits to the organization.
