We have an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Purchased Services to join our procurement team.

The Manager, Purchased Services will be based out of our corporate office in Nashville, TN. This exciting position will, in collaboration with legal counsel, senior leadership and key stakeholders, provide analytical support and guidance pertaining to service contracts to establish business need, financial and operational impact, and to ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies. The position will lead, participate in, and/or facilitates contract negotiations. You will maintain system databases and records and may assist with special projects as needed. An important part of the role is to adhere to policies, procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

Essential Functions:

  • Effectively collaborates and coordinates with legal counsel, senior leadership, and key stakeholders across all markets.
  • Leads, facilitates, and/or participates in contract negotiations; closes projects and executes contracts across all markets.
  • Ability to hold contractors and/or vendors accountable to contract terms and provisions across all markets
  • Utilization of Benchmarking tools for Capitol Expenditures
  • Understands various service industries from which healthcare providers purchase across all markets
  • Researches and analyzes vendors to be included in RFPs. Prepares and distributes requests for proposals. Evaluates proposals and oversees development of financial analysis.
  • Presents contract recommendations to stakeholders. Able to summarize complex topics and present financial impact analysis to diverse stakeholder group.
  • Takes ownership of assignments. Assists with special projects as needed.
  • Cooperates and interacts with supervisions, peers, other departments, and all customer groups demonstrating our commitment to "service"

Education:

  • Minimum - High School Diploma
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

Experience and Training:

  • Five (5) years of directly related purchasing/contract management experience
  • Healthcare experience preferred
  • Ability to interpret and apply guidelines and procedures; Ability to negotiate and manage contracts. Ability to communicate effectively. Skilled in time management
