We have an exciting opportunity to join our marketing team as a Marketing Specialist.

The Marketing Specialist is responsible for writing and editing copy that crosses all platforms (posters, websites, presentations, invitations, etc.) in our brand voice, based on creative media, supplied material and project objectives. Based in our marketing and communications department, the Marketing Specialist will support communication initiatives and amend or revise collateral in response to feedback from leadership, marketing shared services or division marketing teams.

The ideal candidate understands user experience and effectively communicates accurate information about complex initiatives to wide-ranging audiences. Required skills include excellent command of the English language, thorough knowledge of developing copy according to brand style guidelines and demonstrated creativity and impact in headlines, messaging and copy writing.

Primary Responsibilities:  

  • Write high-quality, persuasive copy for a variety of applications including posters, ads, websites, email blasts, newsletters, brochures, events and other media.
  • Understand and translate technical concepts into digestible information for audiences with varying levels of understanding of the subject.
  • Contribute to planning stages of campaigns and strategy.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that goals and objectives are met.
  • Partner with our in-house designers to ensure the copy is presented effectively.
  • Write compelling, target audience-focused copy that aligns with strategy and goals.
  • Creative-thinker; form copy and ideas to drive employee and consumer engagement.

  • BA/BS in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, English or a related field.
  • 3+ years relevant experience in the communications field; health care experience is a plus.
  • English proficiency with superior writing and editing skills using primarily Associated Press style.
  • Knowledge of and/or work with Epic electronic health record system is a plus.
  • Exceptional time management skills with ability to adapt to a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to support a cohesive and productive work environment.
