We have an exciting opportunity to join our information technology team as a Sr. Project Manager focused on clinical transformation.

Position Summary

The overall responsibility of the Sr. Project Manager is to provide leadership and coordination of optimization efforts related to major software applications in use throughout the enterprise.  At both the division and enterprise level this includes coordinating efforts related to enhancement requests.  In addition this role is responsible for collaborating with team members in the evaluation of release notes for application upgrades and aligning with enhancement requests.  Must be an intelligent, articulate and persuasive leader who can serve as an effective member of the Ardent information techology team.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Works with corporate and market level stakeholders in the understanding of application needs
  • Develops relationships with strategic vendors to ensure alignment and knowledge of vision and product directions.
  • Identifies the organization's strengths and weaknesses and suggests areas of improvement.
  • Develops and executes structured problem management processes and embeds into team structures
  • Coordinates with Corporate Application Leadership to ensure consistency and standardization of Ardent application strategy is maintained.
  • Works closely with PMO to help enforce change management process,  project deadlines and schedules and mitigates risk appropriately 
  • Consistently delivers high-quality services to business stakeholders.
  • Conducts regular cross functional meetings/calls with teams to solicit feedback and organize activities related to continued improvement/optimization.
  • Delivers informative, well-organized presentations.
  • Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
  • Prioritizes and resolves issues.
  • Provides leadership and technical guidance to identify system deficiencies and analyze system problems and solutions.
  • Exhibits confidence and an extensive knowledge of emerging industry practices when solving business problems.
  • Collaborates with business stakeholders to introduce innovative solutions.
  • Works in partnership with other IT leadership to ensure continuous improvements are operationalized and included in future implementation efforts.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent business experience, required in clinical or healthcare industry.
  • PMP certification desired

Experience

  • Solid understanding of major service line related workflows
  • Comfortable engaging in physician facing discussions
  • At least 10 years of experience in managing clinical projects in a healthcare or related industry environment.
  • Subject matter expertise in multiple clinical and revenue cycle application modules/solutions with experience
  • Proven ability to understand business and clinical issues and objectives as well as the ability to translate them into application solutions.
  • Experienced project manager of large scale large projects of 12+ team members, with experience managing:Excellent communication, presentation and organization skills.
